Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and to tell you about our foundation. The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Inc. was founded exclusively for the charitable purpose of fostering innovative artistic expression and the creative process. We accomplish this by offering grants to cultural organizations that directly support visual artists. Recently the IRS approved our request to award grants to individual artists. This designation strengthens our long-standing commitment to support professional visual artists. For the present, our goal for the Golden Foundation is to become a significant contributor to the artist's support system and one that will sustain and encourage the profound creative struggle that defines the artistic process in our times. Our board of directors and the foundation director recognize the importance of providing assistance to artists and arts organizations in their pursuit of information about grant opportunities and funding sources. It is our desire to support them and to give back to the artistic community by serving as a resource for artists and cultural organizations. We care deeply about the applicants to The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Inc. It is our hope that the awards derived from the foundation will create encouragement for artists and will assist arts organizations that support visual artists. Ultimately what we want to accomplish is
to enhance public interest and expand awareness
of the visual arts.
